Sony Laptop Data Recovery

SONY VAIO 4V1W

I have a Sony Vaio 4V1W, which is a very small laptop. I have been using it for a while, and then suddenly one day, I got a message in the boot screen saying Loading GRUB error. It then said that there was no such partition as GRUB rescue. I don’t know what all of this means. As far as I know, there is no partition at all on my system, I have never installed one and I am not aware of one. I tried to press F8 in order to get into BIOS, but there was no response to this. There was nothing that I could do to get the system to move on beyond this GRUB recovery problem. It is worrying me the idea that I might have lost the data which is saved on the laptop.

SONY VAIO K35

I have a Sony Vaio K35 which I currently not able to use. The problem started when I was sitting at the laptop, typing. I did not see anything happening, there were no error messages, but suddenly the keyboard locked up, and I could not type any more. I went to use the mouse in order to save the thing that I was working on, and the mouse also does not work. I tried an external mouse from the desktop upstairs, and that also seems to have problems. Clicking on the left seems to be responding as control click would usually respond, and I cannot get the wheel moving at all. I can see that the mouse is active by the light under the wheel. I turned the system off manually, and tried to do some troubleshooting when I got online, but it has not been any use, because I can’t get the keyboard to respond at all. I am not able to get into my Windows OS because I need a password. BIOS is also not responding. I have lots of data saved in the hard drive, and at the moment, I can’t get anything to work.
